Welcome to Casa Lumi

We are a family business based in Augsburg, distributing exclusive lighting fixtures of European craftsmanship. Since 2008, we have been on the lookout for unique luminaires from small manufacturers, showcasing them on Casa Lumi and Terra Lumi (Outdoor lights). Our origins trace back to the lamp store „Lampen Suntinger“ well-known beyond the city limits of Augsburg for decades.

We are knowledgeable

Today, we comprise a well-trained team of ten, offering expertise and excellent service. Our company history brings numerous benefits to our customers: thanks to the trusting collaboration, often initiated in our Augsburg store, with our European manufacturers, we enjoy favourable conditions that we gladly pass on to our customers. We are also open to special requests such as luminaire modifications or custom colours. Our extensive experience in the lighting trade, including restoration and repair, ensures that we are familiar not only with our products as retail items but also with the inner workings of our luminaires. Consequently, we exclusively collaborate with manufacturers whose products we are convinced of in terms of quality, design, and durability.

Over 4000 lighting fixtures from small workshops

Currently, at Casa Lumi, we showcase over 4000 luminaires from small European workshops, often known only in their regions for their craftsmanship, despite some having existed for 150 years. We place our trust in experienced manufacturers with unique lighting programs. These small partner workshops from Germany, Italy, France, the UK, Ireland, and the Benelux countries, including family businesses with just two employees, produce their luminaires in Europe, investing neither capital nor creativity in brand-building or advertising. We consciously avoid prominent brands and globally renowned design manufacturers that can be found everywhere.

To offer our extensive range, we largely forego stockholding and a showroom. Instead, we rely on straightforward and competent telephone or email consultation. Give it a try: we have friendly and knowledgeable staff who provide prompt, qualified, informative, and non-binding advice, create individual offers, and maintain patience and clarity even in challenging situations.

Packaging and Shipping

We deal with artisanal luminaires, for which, unlike overseas products, there are often no standard packaging. Therefore, our experienced logistics staff ensures individual and optimal protection for the delicate goods. Due to our long, sometimes painful experiences with shipping service providers and logistics companies, we only work with providers whose reliability we appreciate. As far as packaging sizes allow, we exclusively ship with DHL.
