MANTIS Floor lamp in the mid-century design of the 1950s
by
DCW éditions Leuchten
Description
The design for the MANTIS floor lamp by Bernard Schottlander, a British-German designer and sculptor, dates back to 1951. The curved shape of the reflector shade plays between symmetry and asymmetry, combined with the gracefully balanced (and highly functional) base gives the luminaire its typical appearance.
The MANTIS free-standing luminaire can be rotated 360°, the inclination of the arm can be adjusted in five steps by repositioning the counterweight.
