About the manufacturer
This small Irish manufactory offers lighting in a timeless and nostalgic design, often found in Irish pubs or Irish breweries. The history of this still very young craft industry is a prime example of the development of the Irish economy in recent years. Close to the border of Northern Ireland, this region was once a thriving economic center before its steady decline. However, the 1970s saw it become a perfect location for many traditional manufacturers. Since 2008, Aire products have been manufactured in a former brand-name shoe factory, and many of their employees now live in the restored workers' houses of the former factory.
Aire Lighting uses traditional materials exclusively – such as polished brass, satined, patinated and silvered surfaces, hand-twisted textile cables or holophane glass. These features are inspired by original lighting fixtures found in old pubs, inns and country houses. The ever-growing team of designers and artisans have now won a large customer base including big names such as Guinness, Google, Jamie Oliver, and even the British Royal residences.
The manufacturer also has a small selection of outdoor lights. You can find these lights on the Terra Lumi - Aire Lighting for Outdoors website.
