Art Nouveau Lighting
During the art history period known as Art Nouveau (also „Jugendstil“ in German) from the "Fin dé Siecle" until the 1920s, many variants to still young consumer goods known as "electrified luminaire" have been produced.
Art Nouveau, Tiffany Style, Modern Style, Liberty styles or Viennese Secession – every style of Art Nouveau was reflected in the most diverse lighting designs.
Unfortunately, we cannot show the full range of Art Nouveau lamps that ever existed here. But a considerable number of these reproductions from European craftsmanship – often made from brass and glass – gives a good impression of the creativity of this lively and changing period.
